How payments work

How we take payments for ticket buyers and event organisers, across our website and apps.

For ticket buyers

When you buy a ticket on TicketBaron — on our website or in our app — you check out through Stripe, the same payment infrastructure used by Amazon, Google and Shopify.

  • All major cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express and more
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay — where supported by your device and browser
  • Instant e-tickets — your tickets and a receipt are emailed to you the moment your payment succeeds

The price you see at checkout is the total you pay — the ticket face value plus a TicketBaron booking fee. Payment is taken securely at the time of booking. See our Terms and Refund Policy for the details.

For event organisers

You don't need your own Stripe account. TicketBaron handles all payment processing through our Stripe account, collects payments on your behalf, and pays out to your bank after your event. You can take payment in a few ways:

Online sales

Your event page sells tickets online 24/7. Buyers pay by card or digital wallet through Stripe, and tickets are issued automatically.

At the door: cash

Record a cash payment taken in person — the buyer gets the same e-ticket and check-in, on the same dashboard.

At the door: payment link

Email the buyer a secure Stripe checkout link from the app. They pay on their own phone and their tickets are issued automatically, exactly like a website order — also handy for phone or enquiry sales.

At the door: external payment

Took payment on your own card machine or by another method? Record it as an external payment and the buyer still gets their e-ticket and check-in.

At the door: in-app card payments coming soon

Taking card payments directly in the TicketBaron app is coming soon. Until then, use cash, an external card machine, or a payment link at the door.

Payment security

TicketBaron adheres to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).

  • We never store your card details — card processing is handled by a PCI Level 1 certified payment processor
  • Secure by design — payment forms come directly from our payment processor, so your card details never touch our systems
  • Encrypted — contact details we hold for ticket delivery are encrypted in transit and at rest
